Our partnership with Chien Chi Tow, a Traditional Chinese Medicine retail chain, started in 2021 – where we conceptualised, designed and renovated its pilot store in Ang Mo Kio, a 1500 sqft shophouse.
This successful pilot design store would serve as a blueprint for all its 6 outlets in Singapore and overseas expansion.
Play VideoOne of the key challenges was to create an identity that was contemporary while building upon its brand heritage. This was achieved through the use of oriental shapes and textures, juxtaposed against clean finishes, graphics, and a touch of brass.
We have also integrated curves into the space, drawing inspiration from the circular design found at the meridian point. This incorporation serves to establish a connection and pay homage to the brand’s identity.
Upon entering, customers are welcomed by a branded wall that elaborates on the brand’s heritage, unique selling points, and promises to its customers.
A distinctive feature of our pilot store is the iconic blue cabinet, which serves as a dedicated medicine storage area. This cabinet serves its primary purpose of providing organized storage for medicines.
As a final touch, we assisted the client in sourcing fittings and soft finishes to ensure consistent color schemes and design language throughout every interaction point.
